PC Supply Chain And Quality Improvement Based On The Practice And Experience Of M Company

In 2010, the global personal computer shipments are more than 360,000,000 units, the PC supply chain with its huge production quantity including numerous enterprise, become the typical representative of manufacturing supply chain. Moreover, the PC industry generally applying ODM mode, i.e., the PC brand enterprise does not produce computer by itself. For an enterprise without production, how to manage multiple levels of thousands of supplier quality is a big challenge.First of all, this thesis researches the PC supply chain and analyses its characteristics. This built a foundation for the research of PC supply chain quality management. Through the research of the quality management history and its achievement and combination of supply chain quality management experience accumulated by M company, the thesis proposes the PC supply chain quality management framework. Based on the PC supply chain quality management framework, this thesis proposes quality management models for supplier quality management, assembly plant quality management and customer quality management, the three quality management modules on supply chain, namely using KPI system to manage supply chain quality.At last, the thesis applies PCA methodology to simplify the KPI system which is used for the supply chain quality management. Through the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process methodology, the thesis determines the relative weight of KPIs, and then uses these relative weight and value to calculate quality scores for each quality functional module on the supply chain. Application of quality KPI can monitor and manage the real-time supply chain quality; Application of quality score can evaluate the final effect of quality management. The thesis at the end shows how to manage KPIs and achieve the supply chain quality management goal by using software.
