Beginning with a new product design in company A, this paper describes how company A manage new product design process through advance product quality planning, implementing 3P methodologies which consist of Predict, Prevent & Protect to ensure quality risks are early identified, preventive action & risk mitigation plan are taken accordingly, and corresponding critical to quality factors are identified with control plan put in place to ensure customer or next step of process being protected from escaping defect. The paper also includes a DMAIC project as an example pertaining to a potential risk that identified during new product pilot run, the project successfully reduced the PPM level of the product and secured a quality product launch for customer satisfaction.The tools applied in the research include FMEA, Quality Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis, Process Capability Study; Pareto Chart, SIPOC, Hypothesis test, Design of Experiment, Statistic Process Control, and a Quality Improvement Model of company A combined with 3P & 5 Why analysis into DMAIC.Continuous Improvement based on prevention philosophy to strive for Zero Defect is Quality Policy of company A as well as its core company culture. The company set"Do the right thing right at first place"as guiding policy, applying comprehensive tools on Predict and Prevent in design and manufactory for continual improvements on quality as well as business, base upon contiuous driving for creative improvements.
