Research On Problems Of Gansu Characteristic Agricultural Development

Agriculture is the mother of other industries and the foundation of the national economy. After thirty years reform and opening of agricultural development, great changes have taken place in China. People's living standards improved steadily, while our agricultural development entered a new stage of development. Because of economic globalization trend, particularly when we have joined the WTO, the agricultural opening is at a great speed. It takes many opportunities, and also faces more challenges. Currently, the agricultural industry is still faced with the problems of low labor capacity and processing rate of production conversion, poor quality of primary products, low overall efficiency of agriculture, and a series of contradictions between the industrialization of agriculture production and household contract management. Country made agricultural structure adjustment as agriculture development's new direction, and made development of characteristic agriculture as the first priority in current strategic adjustment of agricultural structure during the adjustment. It is a new and the most effective way to settle agriculture and farmers income problem. Gansu as agricultural resource-rich province in new background, how to adjust the industrial structure reasonablely and optimize the allocation of resources and improve the competitiveness of the industry and products is an important and urgent problem. Thus, in this paper, the development of characteristic agriculture in Gansu province as the research subject, is not only of theoretical significance but also has more practical value.This paper analyzes the concept ,connotation of characteristic agriculture, and characteristic; based on combing characteristics of agricultural development theory, analyses the characteristics of agricultural development and practical experience; based on characteristic agriculture development natural resources and social conditions in Gansu it presented the general idea of characteristic agriculture development; To explore the characteristics of gansu to achieve sustainable development of agriculture policy advice.
