Research On The Innovation Capability Evaluation Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry

The wave of financial crisis has brought new opportunities and challenges for the equipment manufacturing industry. It is clear that the equipment manufacturing industry has a special status in our economy from the change that putting the equipment manufacturing industry as a strategic industry of the 11th Five-Year Program to making high-end equipment manufacturing industry as an emerging strategic of the 12th Five-Year Program. What is needed urgently is the improving of the level of the core technology in the equipment manufacturing industry and the competitiveness in the international market. How to realize the high-end of equipment manufacturing industry ,the core technology is the key and the innovation is the source. Therefore, it is urgently needed to improve the industrial innovation capability of equipment manufacturing industry.On the basis of the innovation capability of the equipment manufacturing industry and the current situation at home and abroad, this dissertation sums up the domestic and foreign advanced experience of industrial innovation. It also analyzes the innovative status of equipment manufacturing industry and problems according to statistical data. For the purpose of constructing the evaluation system of innovation index at the part of equipment manufacturing industry, it should analyze the impacting factors of it and start from the four aspects as technology, organization, institution and policy.On the basis of the combination of various evaluation methods and the content of this dissertation, it chooses the Malmquist index evaluation based on DEA. This dissertation makes use of the data from year 2005 to 2008, with the principles of science, system and operation and chooses the corresponding evaluative index according to evaluative index system. It analyzes the inputs and outputs'relative efficiency of various industries innovative ability of equipment manufacturing industry by the way of DEA at the static point of view. What is more, it also analyzes the trends of equipment manufacturing industry at the dynamic point of view.Combined the factors and problems in the process of industrial innovation, this dissertation makes the recommendation of developing of high-end equipment manufacturing, building industrial alliances, improving innovation systems, and making the industrial policy oriented on innovation to improve the equipment manufacturing industrial innovation.
