Research On Chongqing's Development Of Tertiary-Industry Under Urban Rural Integration

With the completion of developed countries'industrialization and the speeding of many developing countries' industrialization, the tertiary industry is playing a more and more important role in the whole economic system. The proportion of output value and labor employment has been increasing as well. The development degree of the tertiary industry has become the standard of measuring the degree of a nation or an area's socialization of production and development of market economy. Meanwhile, the development of economy requires the balance of economic structure, which not only shows in the balanced development of the primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry but also in the balanced development inside the primary, secondary and tertiary industries.Since Chongqing became a directly governed city, there have been huge accomplishments in economic development. While the economic is developing steadily, its structure changes accordingly, especially in the tertiary industry. After China entered the WTO, regional development should go with the tide and focus on the economic development. After the implementation of the strategy of developing the west region, Chongqing's economics has developed rapidly. With the promotion of pilot programs of urban-rural integration, Chongqing's development of urban-rural integration faces up to an opportunity. Developing the tertiary industry is significant for changing the irrational urban and rural structure and narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas. At present, Chongqing's development of tertiary industry is left behind many other developed areas. Therefore, it is a pressing issue about how to promote the understanding of the tertiary industry, how to optimize its internal structure and how to enhance the proportion of its output in gross domestic output.This thesis is based on the relevant theories on urban-rural integration and the development of the tertiary industry. Firstly, it analyzes the necessity and feasibility of developing the tertiary under the urban-rural integration, considering the location of the city of Chongqing, citizens'requirements, the advantages of Chongqing's development of the tertiary industry and other factors. Secondly, based on the analysis of current situation of Chongqing's industrial structure, through the comparative analysis of fixed amount and fixed quality, the thesis presents the main problems of Chongqing's development of the tertiary industry:the intense dualization of the urban-rural structure, the irrational distribution of the regions of the tertiary industry, the low output of the tertiary industry, and the optimization of the structure of the tertiary industry. Finally, considering the needs of urban-rural integration to develop the tertiary industry, the thesis presents the ideas and suggestions on how to develop the tertiary in Chongqing.
