The performance management is a key factor of strategy practice. The performance of a business is decided by the employees of the business. So, how to measure the performance effectively, true and fairly, then how to help the employee improve their own performance are the big questions which always bother mangers.This paper takes the employee performance management of the Xibei hotel, then redesign the performance management system based on the balanced scoredcard theory.Firstly, this paper reviews the theories of balanced scoredcard,then analyzes the current situation and problems of Xibei hotel's performance evaluation system, discusses: the reasons of these flaws, then designs the index system of balanced scoredcard of Xibei hotel and calculates the weight of each indictor by analytic hierarchy process (AHP).Considering the difficulties which the change pushing into Xibei hotel may bring about, we also proposes some safeguard mechanism as the suggestions.All these work may help the Xibei hotel establish a scientific and effective performance evaluation system, improve the level of internal management, force the core competitivenessThe contributions of this paper are combining the AHP to balanced scoredcard to reform the performance evaluation system of Xibei hotel,and discussing the safeguard mechanism of implementation of the new program, which not only have more practical significance, but stronger academic importance to other hotels in China.
