Risk Management Of Customized Development On ERP Financial Module For H Bank's Customer

With the theory of Risk Based Project Management (RBPM) and Software Life Cycle, this article has a study on the customized software development projects of the bank customer's ERP, which H Bank Software Development Company Limited (H Software) acts as the outsourcing organization. After that, the article raises the Continuous Risk Management Model of Software Life Cycle for the bank's IT department. And then describes it in detail.The mainly topics of this article are: what kind of risk that customized development project is facing; the deep down logic between risks of customized development project; the continuous risk management plan of customized development project; the response plan and monitoring mechanism for the major risks of customized development project.By using ISM (Interpretative Structural Modeling), this article performs the sorting and analyzing on the risks which had been located during the lifecycle of customized development projects within H Software from 2008 to 2011. During the study, the root cause and internal relationship of the risks can be located from below major area: User Requirement Defining and Changing Risk; Development Decision-making Risk; Lack of Communication Risk; Customer Cooperation Risk.Also, this article explains the concept of RBPM and IT Project Life Cycle and tries to use them to build up a continuous risk management system for customized development projects of H Software. The results show that: the implementing of the Continuous Risk Management is good for the success of customized development projects for the bank's IT department. Making Risk Management in detail and actable, like multiple communication channels, internal process audit, software risk management process and tools, can help the bank's IT department to run stable. Risk Monitor and Control will help the bank's IT department to find out the potential risks actively, which can avoid the loss both on honor and finance. Risk database of software projects is an important foundation of risk management. After all, this article makes ERP customized development projects as sample to explain how ISM can help to analysis the logical mapping for risks of customized development, and make the root causes of the risks clear. Accordingly, it also provides a continuous risk management solution with the implementation way based on RBPM. It can help to enhance the ability of H Bank's IT Department on risk management of outsourcing software development projects. Also it will help the bank fright in the market and provide the better service to the customers.
