"Nominated Subcontracting" has not been allowed in China according to its existing laws and regulations. However, the "nominated subcontracting" is in existence all over China, which brings very high risks on quality, safety, progress and cost to the project and might cause heavy loss to the project contractors and project employers if not properly managed.This thesis is to analyze the reason for poor management by analyzing a typical nominated subcontracted project A which caused heavy loss to project employer and contractor due to the unsuccessful management to nominated subcontracting from project employer, contractor and nominated subcontractor, to emphasis the importance of the "nominated subcontracting management", to provide suggestion of solutions to the project employer, the nominated subcontractor, and especially the contractor on improvement of their nominated subcontracting management at the different project stages.It is expected that through this research, some constructive comments could be offered to the project employer, nominated subcontractor and contactor in the field of nominated subcontracting management. |
