| Global environmental problem is receiving increasing focus from all over the world, while globle warming is especially highlighted by governments. From the issue of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to the pass of Kyoto Protocol,we see clearly the determination of all goverments. And Chinese government has adopted a series of measures to control the emission of CO2 with the aim of help easing global warming.Against this background, scholars now start to explore measures to reduce CO2 emission, take Kyoto Protocol as an example, four ways were suggested to help slower CO2 emission. For China,we had made relative policies in National Program against climate change, announced on June 3nd,2007,where specific policies were made.By exploring the relationship between trade and CO2 emission in an empirical way, this paper try to find solutions to slove CO2 emission problem.Based on data from 1990 to 2008,this paper first analyzes the scale effect, structure effect and technology effect according to theory developed by Grossman and Krueger. Results can be summerized as below: Scale effect of China's industrial trading on CO2 emission is minus;structure effect is plus, but with light impact;technology effct is plus too,but its degree can not be decided. Then,Kuznets curve model is developed to futher anylyze the relations between them.Result shows that CO2 emission in China should start to decrease from 2003,but this didn't happen in 2003,which is explained later in this paper. The value of this paper is offering corresponding methods by seeking the root reasons of CO2 emission. To summize,we have the result as below:from 1990 to 2008,industrial trading in China has boosted CO2 emission, and this will not be soonly changed. Suggestion for this is:From the aspect of trade, our government should cancle or reduce the return rate for exports,or reduce CO2 emission by charging CO2 emission tax.And our overall structure for exporting goods should also be adjusted, with increase of thechnology-intensive products exported. Furthermore, China should also engaged in global CO2 emission trading system and strive for more time and capital for our CO2 emission course. |
