As China's industrialization grows rapidly, there will be more needs for lands. However, there are many problems in land using in China. On one side, there is serious shortage in urban and industrial land using; on the other side, there is a large number of lands be left unused and desolated and many villages become so-called "Hollow Village". Desolation of lands has seriously affected the construction of new rural areas. To find more development opportunities, more peasants come to the cities. Many peasants have abandoned their original location and established new houses outside villages. All of these speeds up the formation of "Hollow Village". How to manage "Hollow Village" has become an important research topic. The thesis takes ZheJiang province as an example to analyze the status of land circulation with an aim to discuss approaches to resolve the problems of "Hollow Village" in ZheJiang provice. The contents of the thesis are as follows:The first three parts lays the foundation for later research. Part One is the introduction, including research background, research target and research significance; Part Two is literature review; and Part Three is the introduction to the present status and result of "Hollow Village" in china. including features of "Hollow Village" from the perspectives of economy and geography, reasons of the formation of "Hollow Village". Next it states the forms and the phases in "Hollow Village", lastly it is a result of "Hollow Village"Part Four discusses the reasons and consequences of "Hollow Village", including next five aspects:economy development, city development, country itself, history reasons and other reasons.Part Five is the core of the thesis, the content is the analyze of land circulation to the "Hollow Village". Firstly it states necessary the relationship of two, and secondly, gives a examples of ZheJiang provice. Finally, The SPSS10software and "Pearson Relations Act" have been adopted to analyze the factors affecting land circulation in ZheJiang provice. The factors include:development level of non-peasants, production structure of agriculture, average net income of rural residents, and level of social security in rural areas and culture accomplishment of the work force.Part Six suggests the measurements to manage "Hollow Village" in ZheJiang provice from the perspective of land circulation.Part Seven is conclusion.
