The Study For Nanjing City Integrated Management Model Innovation

The coming of the urbanization era in 21st century requires more urban management work. In fact, urban management has become the top priority for Chinese municipal governments and played a critical role in building a harmonious society. Integrated urban management as a new concept still faces plenty of issues and problems in theory, practice and legislation. As the deputy provincial city, capital of Jiangsu province in Nanjing City, in the exploration of adaptation to its reality required for the development of city management system and mechanism has formed a unique pattern, but Nanjing city comprehensive management system still exists in the congenital defects, according to the management system frame design and lack of integrity, scientific sex and maneuverability wait for a problem, and the current economic and social development, it is urgent for Nanjing city's comprehensive management model for research. Based on the public administration theory and certain actual facts and investigative materials, and after making a comparison of various domestic and foreign urban management systems, this paper intends to set up an integrated urban management model for Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province. Our focuses of study include:defining the boundaries of Nanjing's integrated urban management; enacting laws and regulations for integrated urban management; analyzing the past, present and innovative feature of Nanjing's integrated management system; improving its integrated management mechanism; strengthening emergency management; and strengthening law enforcement.
