Beijing Traffic Congestion Management Strategy Analyzation On Multi-Cities Factor Analysis

Urban traffic played a significant role in the development of city and it is also a performance of better civil life. Actually, With the improvement of people's living standard, private cars has played an important role in the daily life, but the original road transportation infrastructure can't keep going with the traffic resource demand, then, the contradiction between the supply and demand of traffic resources turned to increasing worse day by day. Traffic congestion has been a disease in many cities.Traffic congestion has been a city problem during the development for several years. The authority has taken lots of measures to improve the congestion as increase the public traffic infrastructure resources and limit the purchasing and use of cars. As we seen, the result wasn't that obvious on the contrary the ratio of car usage outgoing mode didn't come down and the ratio of public mass transit usage didn't have a good performance. Then, using the economic means to adjust the contradiction of resource supply and demand has been a main subject in traffic management.The paper was aim to show some useful measures to solve the congestion problem. First, to summarize the theory of traffic supply,demand and regime management, to show the theory character and practice status. Second, factor analysis of London, Seoul, HongKong, Tokyo, NewYork, Singapore, Shanghai relevant factors about traffic congestion, then separate the16sets of data into several virtual factors and calculate the score.Third, analysis the present situation of Beijing traffic to induce traffic characteristics. Then compare with7cities to analysis the gap between the public transportation and private traffic. The last, the paper will give some suggestion base on the factor analysis and compare with the7city above.
