With the development of society,Tourism has become the most powerful and oneof the largest industries in the momentum of development in the global economy andbecome increasingly more and more prominent in the global economy. Based on thelevel of the development of the national economy as a whole and been bound, at thesame time, developing the tourism can promote the the development of the relevantdepartments of the national economy. Tourism is able to create a new way life for thepeople and enhance social civilization and other functions with thecomprehensiveness,strong market development potential,strong correlation,quickgrowth,its development is conducive to narrow the economic gaps between regions,especially urban and rural areas, to promote international communications, topromote social stability, to enrich the spiritual of the mass of the people, and toenhance the sense of patriotism. Therefore, the tourism is the base and importantindustry of promoing the building of a harmonious society and improving people'slivelihood.However, china's tourism development cannot be closed comprehensivly withimproving people's livelihood,we still have large space to improve the space we canwork great, but the academic study of the relationships between tourism and theimprovement of living and developing tourism to improve people's livelihood is still aminority. This paper is to study the relationships between the people's livelihood andthe tourism, analyse the role of developing tourism to improve people's livelihood, thepresent situation and existing problems on promoting people's livelihood in China'stourism industry,and the causes of problems,finally put forward some countermeasures for tourism industry to improve people livelihood.
