Hydraulic support, the key equipment for fully mechanized coal mining surface, isplaying an important role in supporting the roof, maintaining the working space andtransporting working surface and mining machine. As the key factor of coal mining, theresearch of hydraulic support has a very important significance for the development of coalmining mechanization.Through the finite element analysis and stress test in the testing ground for the type ofZF10500/20/36hydraulic support, analyze the static strength of hydraulic support.Under thestandard of general specification of hydraulic support, test the stress of the hydraulic supportin these easily damaged working conditions which include base torsion, top beam with offsetload and top beam torsion and obtain a lot of practical data. The paper use Pro/E to build the three dimensional model of caving hydraulic support, and use ABAQUS to analyze the static strength stress of the whole hydraulic support. Studyon the building, simplification, assembling, choosing unit type, meshing, treating boundaryconditions and analysis of external load in-depth of three dimensional modelThrough the finite element software, analyze the static strength stress for the type ofZF10500/20/36hydraulic support, obtain the stress distributions and the dangerous parts underfollowing three conditions: base torsion, top beam with offset load and top beam torsion, andobtain the stress of dangerous parts on the hydraulic support. Then compare the data with theactual measured data in the same condition, provide a theoretical reference for the design andanalysis of the hydraulic support, and achieve the aims of shorten the design cycle and reducecosts.
