As the development of advanced manufacturing technology in the production and manufacturing, the production of high-speed gear box assembly technology is more and more sophisticated with the rapid development of the global economy. Faced with increasingly fierce competition at home and abroad, the enterprises in the manufacturing process, not only need to guarantee product quality to meet customers’ different needs, but also to improve production efficiency and production technology, cutting cost, thereby enhancing core competitiveness. Therefore, how to optimize the production system is very important for manufacturing companies.Gear production system is a typical discrete event dynamic system. In this paper, the Witness software for discrete event dynamic simulation use to study the production of high-speed gear box assembly process and establish a simulation model based on the Witness gear assembly process. Through the analysis of logistic performance of the entire assembly process, we want to simplify the manufacturing process and establish the actual production model.First of all, assembly line production site visits, the statistical methods of application of industrial engineering, production technology and related data acquisition, research and analysis, simulation input model. Gear production assembly of elements defined on the basis of theoretical study of the Witness software, we want to use the software to setting the rules of the various elements of the visualization of dynamic display interface and complete the design of the simulation model.Second, we use dynamic simulation of the dynamic interface of the visualization to simulate software many times independently and finally to get the simulation results. Trough the output analysis of terminating simulation especially statistical analysis focused on the utilization of equipment in the simulation model, as the volume of output and inventory, we will calculate statistical data as the main statistical factors, the sample variance and confidence intervals.Finally, we use the optimization of the model number and the time factor to find a reasonable optimization. The original data and optimization of the production line model, the model data the final optimized solutions, equipment utilization and the volume of output as the main object of study, and obtained by the number of independent operation.To improve the production efficiency, we proposed a program by modeling and analyzing the gear assembly process. The program is proposed to reduce the production equipment utilization and production funds used. It optimizes processing technique of the production. The practical application of gear production and assembly systems indicates that the research of digital modeling and optimization can proposes a plan for enterprise production bottlenecks, and it provides effective decision support of the actual production management, process optimization and system analysis.
