Refers to some of the photochromic compounds in a certain wavelength and intensity of light under the effect of molecular structure will change, leading to its light absorption peak corresponding changes in the color, and this change is generally reversible. Thus photochromic characteristics, human light photochromic materials have been more in-depth study of the corresponding types of photochromic compounds is gradually increasing. Photochromic materials, is excited by the light color change can occur after a class of materials. Today photochromic materials have been well applied in daily use, agricultural, industrial and military fields. The photochromic pigments and polymers together, can be made with photochromic properties of the material in photovoltaic technology and light control devices very promising, and has a good market and use value.In this paper, about four light photochromic materials described:1, light photochromic materials through the development process and the classification of the elaboration and application of photochromic materials, and has done a prospect.2, through repeated the experiment, the final synthesis of the two photochromic compounds,They are3,3-dimethyl-N-methyl-5-chloro-6’-bromo-8’-nitro-indolinospiropyran and3,3-dimethyl-N-methyl-5-chloro-6-chloro-indolinospiropyran, the use of advanced nuclear magnetic resonance analysis, infrared spectroscopy and other methods have two compounds were characterized.4, the application of UV-visible absorption spectra of the two substances photochromic properties were analyzed.Finally, the paper through two spiropyran compounds thermal stability, fatigue resistance and other photochromic performance testing, through different environmental media, molecular structure, replacing the internal and external factors such as light-based photochromic material color properties of a detailed study and analysis. For the synthesis of the difficulties encountered during the experiment were discussed, and finally found a solution to the problem. The development of photochromic materials, light and hope for the future.
