Study On Using Timber Of Solid Wood Flooring

This thesis chooses100kinds of wood species mainly applies to manufacturing solid wood flooring in the appendix conform to GB/T15036.1-2009《solid wood flooring-Part1: Technical requirements》and gives contrast studies on timber by region. An outline of geographical conditions, climate and vegetation type and forest resources in tropical, subtropical and the temperate zone was given by the investigation research of solid wood flooring market in Huzhou city, in Zhejiang province and locating the relevant documents and network resources, inducing and comparing the characteristics of wood species,distribution and wood structure in the various regions, and the results were as follows:1. Compare solid wood flooring in tropical timber with sub-tropical and temperate timber in species and distribution, tropical timber has the following characteristics:(1) a great number of hardwood but few softwood;(2) variety of tree species and large amount of tree volume;(3) most trees have buttress root;(4) many kinds of Leguminosae species and widely distributed;(5) the lumber are much heavier and have great hardness;(6) tropical rainforest is the main vegetation type.2. Compare solid wood flooring in tropical timber with sub-tropical and temperate timber, tropical timber has the following characteristics in wood structure:(1) diffuse-porous wood account for the vast majority;(2) growth ring are unconspicuous or slightly obvious;(3) medium pore size based;(4) most of the species have harden tylosis;(5) perforation plates simple and intervessel pitting alternate;(6) most species have vertical and radial gum duct.The research of using timber of solid wood flooring gives some scientific identification for the quality control personnel and have great significance to further promote the healthy development of China’s solid wood flooring market.
