Research On Environmental Protection Industry Competitiveness In Liaoning Province Based On Government Regulation

With the growing global environmental issues and more and more prominent energy crisis, environmental industry market has expanded exponentially and it is becoming one of China’s pillar industries which lead green economic development. As China’s northeast old industrial base, Jilin province has abundant resources in five categories such as forests, water, minerals, energy and land resources, and the combination of better-off. Thus, the development of environmental protection industry has a very important and realistic significance in environmental governance and economic development.The thesis is based on the sustainable development, the competitive power of the industry and government regulation and other relevant theories, with domestic and international environmental protection industry research experience, clearly analyzed the effect of government regulation to promote environmental protection industry competitiveness, and based on understanding of environmental protection industry in Liaoning province the development present situation, in the perspective of government regulation, tried to offer corresponding countermeasure and proposal of promoting the ability of Liaoning province’s environmental protection industry competition.This paper including six parts as following:The first part describes the study background, purpose and meaning and status of foreign-related research;The second part research related to the basic environmental protection industry theory, the theory of sustainable development, industrial competitiveness theory, theory of government regulation; through the study and draw lessons from domestic and international successful development experience of environmental protection industry;The third part emphasizes the importance of the development of environmental protection industry;the fourth part mainly analyzes the problems on the process of environmental protection industry and finds its restriction of competitiveness;The fifth part using the analytic hierarchy process to construct the evaluation index system, which can be used to measure the extent of using environmental protection industry in Liaoning province development process on governmental regulation;The sixth part is to put on countermeasures on improving the environmental protection industry competitive power of Liaoning province which is based on the perspective of government regulation in the fifth part.
