As one of the main manufacturing machine in further processing, tilepolishing machine is widely applied to the surface polishing of tile floor,dimension stone and other building materials, in order to achieve pyramidsuppression, no scratches, specular surface and so on requires. During therunning process, if the drum surface abrading or the belt sliding will directlyinfluence the machining efficiency. In order to shorten the design cycle, improvethe machining efficiency and solve the distortion failure problem, the designselection should be the first consideration. Based on that, we need to be analyzedon the tile polishing machine of the working principle and the main drivingsystem.The paper analyzed the grinding mechanism and the character of the brasiveof different grinding blocks and studied the influence that different grindingblock numbers have on the grinding force. Through these analyses, the grindingforce will direct influence on the performance of the driving drum and the drivingbelt in the working of the polishing machine.On the basis of finite element theory and the static model of the drum,simplify the structure of the driving drum reasonably,analyze the resistance inworking and the force condition. Setting the reasonable element, apply relatedconstraint and load, create the force analyses of finite element model and the fieldof stress concentration. Considering the force condition of the drum in working,analyze the factor contributing to the sliding phenomenon. When the load isoversized, the required driving force is more than rated values, the slidingphenomenon occurred on the belt. Therefore, to set the reasonably safetycoefficient is necessary before determine the maximum driving force value.As the bearing device, the belt is not only bearing the friction between thesupporting plate and the idler but also the cutting force under driving of the driving drum. Thus it is necessary to do the force analyses from multiplestandpoints. The structure of the belt is the composite type. Set the viscoelasticitymodel of the belt on the basis of static characteristic and dynamic characteristics.Based on flexibility body theory, analyze the flexibility and do simulationanalysis for the belt by the virtual prototype technology. According to the centerof mass change of the element, analyze the displacement and velocity curve andsearch out the change law of the force. The results show that the elastic plasticcharacteristics of the belt basically tallies with the reality and verify therationality and accuracy of the simulation.Through the simulation analyses for the main driving system in the tilepolishing machine, the force law of the driving drum and the belt is obtained. Theconclusion can solve the problem in the structure design of the main driving partsin the tile polishing machine and provide the theory reference for the design ofthe main driving system in the polishing machine.
