Assembly line balancing problem directly affects the production efficiency ofmanufacturing system. In the past few decades, people undertook much research on theassembly line balancing problem, but are mainly concentrated in the actual assembly linebalancing algorithm research and balance improvement method research. In the analysisof massive literature material foundation, present a analysis method for assembly linebalancing in the planning and design stage, the main studies are as follows:The research and application of Assembly line balancing foundation work. In thispaper, the use of industrial engineering work study, method study, work measurementtheories and methods in planning and design stage, summarizes the development ofassembly line balancing based work methods, mainly by the assembly processoptimization, work unit division, the work unit time study and operating prioritymapping four steps. The application of the method, obtained the gas stirling engineassembly line standard operation process and working time, and thus for the assemblyline balance study provides reliable basic data.Assembly line balancing method and its application.
