Urban Space Regeneration Of Xi’an Textile City

Accompanied by the accelerated pace of urbanization in China at the same time,many cities in the old districts faced with a recession and aging, especially because ofthe decline of traditional industries and old areas of loss of urban vitality. The city isfaced with the urgent need of regeneration development. Xi’an Textile City is a typicalold districts of the city and was built in the early days, which was the largest textileindustrial base in northwest China, creating a glorious history. Today, a range of issuesfacing the decline of traditional industries, social and economic problems have becomemore prominent. This topic is in this context, aims to explore how the regenerationstrategy formulation and appropriate design of the space, as well as organic andsustainable regeneration process to promote the regeneration of the textile city space. Soit is important to this region again rejuvenated, the real city old industrial district ofeconomic, social, cultural, space and environmental quality comprehensive sustainableregeneration. The thesis consists of the following six chapters’ content:Chapter Ⅰ: First proposed research topic of this article from the three levelsdescribed the research background. Clear the purpose and significance of thesis, ideas,methods, and on this basis, a clear framework and papers cover related concepts, andfinally be briefly elaborated on the thesis content and scope of the study.Chapter Ⅱ: using a historical review of research methods, both inside and outsideof urban regeneration in the development process and the theory and practice to collateand summarize, analyzing and sorting out the useful experience and future trends.Finally, learn the reference of the success stories, summarize proposed can learn fromthe old districts of the city regeneration strategy, regeneration of the textile city of Xi’anspace necessary theory and practice of research support. Chapter Ⅲ: Based on the complexity and particularity of the regeneration of citiesin old urban areas in China, in-depth analysis at this stage of China’s cities in the olddistricts spatial recession principal contradiction and motivation, summed up the cityold urban areas regeneration of both the regeneration mode and the old districts of thetypical type of space, to Xi’an Textile regeneration of the city space to provide a solidtheoretical ideas and methods and strategies to support.Chapter Ⅳ: Interpretation of these two aspects of the construction of history andreality of development of Xi’an Textile City, trying to show the historical conditions ofthe old industrial district of Textile City and Textile City, the main problems as thecities in the old districts reality and the development potential of further in-depthanalysis of the textile city the core issue of the reasons for the decline and spatialregeneration.Chapter Ⅴ: Focus on five aspects of macroeconomic policy, Economic, social,cultural, environmental and other renewable power mechanism of the Xi’an Textile Cityspace. That gave birth to eventually clear in these dynamic factors common interaction"force" to promote comprehensive and sustainable regeneration of the Xi’an Textile Cityspace.Chapter Ⅵ: Combined with the regeneration strategy of the old districts space ofurban regeneration success stories to draw on the analysis of the dynamic mechanism ofregeneration of the Xi’an Textile City space, explore the comprehensive strategy toeffectively promote comprehensive and sustainable regeneration of the Xi’an TextileCity, the development of renewable design suitable for the space of the Xi’an TextileCity，diversified views of the sustainable regeneration mode and the construction andimplementation of space regeneration and urban management.
