As an important green travel mode in urban transportation, pedestrian traffic willmore and more get attention from the public, under the guidance of people-orienteddevelopment idea. But at present the mixed state of the vehicles, bicycles andpedestrians still exists, special on crossing. In urban road crossing, large number ofpedestrians chooses illegal crossing, increasing the conflicts between the vehicle andpedestrian. It is not only a threat to their safety, and also reducing the traffic operationefficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the pedestrians crossing behavior andregulate the pedestrian traffic behavior, so as to promote the harmonious operation oftraffic.Based on the study of pedestrians’ security problems in Beijing, it selectedcrossing places to micro survey. It analyzed the influence factors of crossing form thepedestrian characteristics, traffic interference, road environment and crossing facilities, and the manual survey and video survey methods were applied in the survey. Then, some crossing indexes were analyzed statistically. Take signal control section forexample, various influence factors were simplified and the main factors wereextracted by using factor analysis method, and an influencing factor index system ofthe pedestrian crossing behavioral decision was established. The choice model of pedestrian violation behavior in signal crossing wasconstructed by adopting binary logistic regression model and the influencing factorsin pedestrian crossing were analyzed. The test and evaluation of model parametersshow that the model can explain characteristics of pedestrian crossing behavior verygood.Based on the above analysis, the paper put forward some main countermeasuresfrom planning, design and management, in order to standardize the pedestriancrossing behavior. It will provide certain reference significance for trafficmanagement and designers.
