In recent years,the development of traffic in China has been accelerating,at the same time,a lot of traffic problem have come up.The confliction among people,vehicles and roads are becoming increasingly prominent.For all countries in the world,traffic accidents between motor vehicles and pedestrians are an important safety issue.With the rapid development of science and technology,smart phones become an important part of people's life,it brings a lot of convenience to people's lives.However,the safety problems caused by using mobile phones on the wrong occasions are becoming increasingly prominent.Especially,the use of mobile phones by traffic participants has seriously affected traffic safety.In order to improve traffic,the influence of pedestrian using mobile phone was studied.In this paper,questionnaire,field observation and video capture technology are used.Based Logistic model,the influence of pedestrian's mobile phone usage on traffic was studied.This paper studies the current situation,motivation,mode and influence of pedestrian use of mobile phones;The factors affecting pedestrian's mobile phone usage,and the correlation among influencing factors were studied.Then,taking Chongqing area as an example,through field observation and video recording,pedestrians' behaviour at unsignalized crossing was investigated.A set of logistic regression models for pedestrian's mobile phone usage during street-crossing is constrcted,and the influence of pedestrian using cell phone on traffic safety is studied.The results show that:(1)The average time of pedestrian's mobile phone usage has obvious correlation with sex,marital status and education level.(2)The frequency of pedestrian's mobile phone usage is significantly related to education level.(3)Logistic models can model the influence of pedestrian using mobile phone on traffic safety,and the overall prediction rate is relatively high.(4)Male pedestrians are more likely to use mobile phones than female pedestrians,non-partner pedestrian are more likely to use their phones than partner pedestrian,young people are more likely to use mobile phone than older people.(5)Under the same conditions,when waiting traffic,pedestrians who do not use mobile phone are more safer than those who use mobile phone.(6)Under the same conditions,when crossing street,pedestrians who do not use mobile phone are more safer than those who use mobile phone.(7)Different usage of mobile phones has a different impact on traffic safety.(8)Pedestrian's mobile phone usage when crossing street has a affect on pedestrian's behaviours.These effects suggest that,pedestrian using a mobile phone when crossing street is associated with pedestrian behavior that may undermine pedestrian safety.
