Small And Medium-sized Urban Park Design Method Based On The Research Of Context

In the current context of economic globalization, China’s urbanization processmoves forward at an unprecedented rate, while the construction and rapid developmentof China’s small and medium-sized cities also facing many problems, such as: modernand tradition, fairness and efficiency, protection and development.This also lead tothe small and medium-sized urban parks are always designed in the western way, evenmechanically, but without any consideration to the park environment and urban space,history and culture, such as contact and penetration. Park just been placed in the city,rather than been generated in the city.This thesis focuses on the problems of small and medium-sized city parks designin china.The writer studies the park design theory and research, including KevinLynch, the city image, Norberg Schulz’s spirit of place, contextualism theory。Throughthe refinement of these findings, urban context was chosen as the starting point, mainlyfrom the city’s character and the most intuitive expression of factors-the naturalenvironment of the city, the urban structure and the pattern of urban fabric, the cityskyline, landmark buildings which can be seen as the dominant form factor of the urbancontext,.deeply study the main features of the dominant context of small andmedium-sized cities in China。Through the methods of combining the city park at homeand abroad Design Case and field questionnaire surveys, interviews,etc,the paperproposes perform content of urban park design at different levels in the context of thedominant context of small and medium-sized cities.Papers study contains the followingthree aspects：First, carding the relationship between small and medium-sized urban context and the park designing. Paper expounds the definition of the context, medium and smallcities, the composition of parks.it also systematically described the relationshipbetween small and medium-sized urban context and parks.Secondly, to explore methods and strategies based on the context of small andmedium-sized city park design. The city park is an important part of the urbanlandscape, the elements of urban green space system, it is important urban open space.Start from the view of good link of dominant between Park and Urban, firstly besure of the location of small and medium-sized city park, determine the scope of thestudy, From a large range of aspects, encompassing the context of entire city or thelocal section; The next proposed the method that parks and urban green space systemshould be connected and Park and the surrounding land should be integrated,the methodthat the spatial structure of parks should respect the city texture and urban stream lineconvergence the park. Finally on the basis of the analysis of the park surroundingenvironment, the paper put out designing requirements and methods of the internalorganization, function zoning, streamline organizations and attractions in parkdesignings, which makes the their own space subsystem of parks and urban parentsystem space to be better linked.Finally,take the landscape design of Shangluo LianHu Park as the empiricalresearch example. Analysis the elements and characteristics of the dominant contextof Shangluo city,figure out the the spatial characteristics of the base and itssurrounding environment. Through the cardingof the surrounding environment andthe specific design of the internal environment of the park, to create a city park which isclosely integrated with the urban context.
