In Liaoning coastal ports, Dalian Port and Yingkou Port backed by the northeastern area are the container import and export channel. The competition between the two ports become more and more intense. Dalian Port, as a traditional container port, is a big container port with advanced management and efficient operation system. It’s port infrastructure facilities is more developed; Yingkou Port, relying on its advantage location, has lower container collection and distribution costs. Indeed, the reasonable and moderate competition can promote the efforts of two ports,reduce operating costs and improve the operational efficiency of container. It also can improve the ports’container business service level. But the excessive competition between ports, will cause excessive construction, vicious competition and the reduction of scale benefit. Therefore, we need to study the container co-opetition development of Dalian Port and Yingkou Port.and find the key factors of development. There is important significance to demonstrate the feasibility of co-opetition development and look for the way of co-opetition development.Based on the game of Dalian Port and Yingkou Port, the paper combined with the specific circumstances took the container co-opetition development of Dalian Port and Yingkou Port as the object. First, the paper analyzed and summarized the emergence and development trend and the container port co-opetition development; Second, the paper analysed the necessity and feasibility of Dalian Port and Yingkou Port Container co-opetition development.By summing up the two port development and competitive situation, it analyzed the competition issues and the necessity of co-opetition development. Then,it drew the feasibility of co-opetition development by the theory analysis and model demonstration; Third, it analysed the five factors for the development of port container, and builded the evaluation index system.Then by means of looking up the "Eleventh five-Year" period container development data of the two ports,the paper used the principal component analysis to work out the key factors of Dalian Port and Yingkou Port container development, and found the direction of container port co-opetition development; Finally, the paper drew up the strategic positioning of Dalian Port and Yingkou Port and put forward the proposals of the container co-opetition development.
