| With urban development and increasing number of private vehicles, urban traffic congestion and air pollution are getting more and more serious; meanwhile, the quality of public transport service is also improving. The demand for urban transit is more in the diversification trend. The modern tram with carrying capacity between normal transit and urban mass transit becomes an important part of the urban public transport system, characterized by medium traffic volume, riding comfort, low energy consumption, less investment and operational flexibility and so on. The applicability and the application mode of the modern tram are researched in this paper with an introduction of modern tram system composition. The regional applicability evaluation is obtained by fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.The technical applicability of the modern trams are studied, also application conditions of different technologies are given in the paper. Five kinds of application mode and the characteristics of their applicable cities are summarized, on base of modern tram application examples summarize in different cities at home and abroad, and the line reasonable length are provided.In this paper, AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is built to evaluate the regional applicability of the modern tram:first, the evaluation index system is established with twenty evaluation indexes in the four criteria layers and then calculates each weight of the indexes by the method of AHP. The mark of those indexes is given by experienced experts. So the single factor evaluation matrix is done. Then the final comprehensive evaluation score are obtained by multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method according to various index weights. Ultimately the feasibility of evaluation model is verified by a modern tram application example in Suzhou New District. |
