Study On City Applicability Evaluation Of Modern Trams

Modern Trams is a low volume of urban public transportation that have been widely used in many cities in developed countries in Europe and America, for its Moderate capacity, high speed, high security, good passenger comfort, high energy efficiency, artistic outline, low investment, short construction period, etc. In recent years, many domestic cities are also actively planning the construction of modern trams.Characteristics of modern trams and successful applications of foreign cities are the starting points of this thesis, evaluated the suitability of the modern city tram with AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.First, the system composition and technical characteristics of modern trams were analyzed in this thesis, then comparing modern trams and subway, light rail, BRT, bus in terms of transport, capacity, speed, economy and environmental protection, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of modern trams.Secondly, by analyzing the case of modern trams in the city of Paris, Lyon, Nantes and its application in some domestic cities, three typical application modes and their respective adaptability to different cities have became.Finally, evaluate the applicability of the modern trams by using AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model.16 evaluation indicators were chosen from urban status and development planning, urban traffic situation and planning, economic feasibility, system efficiency, five criteria layer to established evaluation system, then using AHP to calculate the index weight. Using the Delphi method, each indicator scored, and then calculates the value of comprehensive satisfaction of the city applicability of modern trams by using synthesis satisfactory degree function. While the evaluation model was established, it was used for the evaluation of Xinjin’s modern trams and concluded the modern trams have good adaptability in Xinjin, besides, verify the feasibility of this model.
