The Study Of Office Space Design Based On Morphological Integrity Theory

This paper studies the relationship between office space morphology and office space design mainly. Based on the analysis of relationship between both, it puts forward and discusses the design theory of "integrity morphology".How can space morphology be existing? What is its development rule? These issues, which have been focused on for a long time, are principal objects in this paper.Trying to solves those issues in the background that office environment has been paid more and more attention t, the paper returns to an old metaphor:the architecture as an organism, which is the basement for the paper. In fact, the chief feature of bio-organism lies in its vigor of life and morphology. A notable feature of the formation of organism morphology is that the organism adapts to the environment by self-organized development. The adaptation means creation as well as increase of life. Its result constitutes an integrated and organic feature of morphology——integrated morphology. It is not only a result, but also a process. During the process the bestows the content of life on organism. Integrated morphology, which deprives from biology, becomes the basic thinking interpreting the development of office space design in the thesis. Combined it with the redefinition, the thesis put forward a new notion of office space construction based on "integrated morphology" and proofs it powerfully.The paper adopts the following proving way:Firstly, it clarifies the basic content of office architecture as organism. It proves the biology feature of architecture morphology and restates biology by discussing the existing organic architecture theory. By re-exploring the life organism, the thesis defines the notion of "integrated morphology" of organism.Secondly, the paper establishes a basic theory frame of new notion of office space design based on "integrated morphology". It put forward the new definition of space design by expounding the present notion of space design. Meanwhile, the content of integrated morphology has been explained further. The paper put forward a basic theory frame of integrated morphology——a new notion of space design by integrating "space design" and "integrated morphology". The theory considers that space design as a way of mounding space design aims at restoring and giving birth to the self-organized growing function of modern office environment and realizes the integration of space morphology emphasizes process as well as result.In the end, the paper establishes the value of integrated morphology based on the study above and points out that integrated morphology establishing sustainable office space morphology is the significance of space design.
