Evaluation And Analysis Of The Regional Highway Network Development Level

The transportation network layouted in regional space was one of the economicand exchange activities of the material carriers, and thelevel of the regionaltransportation network had a significant impact in regional ecomomic and socialdevelopment. As an important part of the regional transportation the highway hadbeen developed rapidly in recent years. There were very big differences incomprehensive development level between different regions, and the same of thehighway network development level. The evaluation and analysis of the regionalhighway development level were undertaken in order to make the regionalpolicymakers realize the truth of regional highway network development level, whileproviding reference of the highway network development plan in the next step.Firstly, the composition and the evalution process of the regional highwaynetwork were analyzed in this paper; then the interaction of the highway network andits evolution environment were discussed; and the regional highway networkdevelopment level connotation were discussed, while the corresponding evaluationindex system and model were established; then the combination of the subjective andobjective methods were used in the evaluation index weigh, and the methods of greyclustering and linear weight were used in the evaluation of the regional highwaynetwork development level.Lastly, the evaluation of China’s East, mid each province highway networkdevelopment level were undertaken, the results of the score ranking of each provincewere gotten. Among these provinces, Jiangsu, Henan, Zhejiang, Liaoning, Shandong,and Guangdong had the best development level; Hubei, Hebei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Shanxi,Fujian province had the general development level; Jilin, Hunan and Heilongjiangprovince had the poor development level. And the different area’s highway networkdevelopment level were undertaken to contrasting analize, while some correspondingsuggestion and countermeasures were given out. The results of this research had acertain referential significance in developing the highway network planning andpolicy development for each province.
