Setting Type And Comprehensive Evaluation System Of Bus Rapid Transit Stop

Bus rapid transit system is a new public transport system which is worldwide used now. In the BRT system, the BRT stop links passengers and BRT, and is necessary for realizing the BRT service. BRT vehicles have to stop here for taking passengers, and passengers also have to be here for their travel. There are a lot of BRT stops in the BRT network. As a node, the BRT stop has an important influence in the public transport system. Whether the setting type of the BRT stop is reasonable, it will directly affect the BRT system operation cost, speed and the service level of the BRTsystem. So setting a reasonable type of the BRT stop has a important significance for BRT planning.After studying the foreign and domestic successful experience of BRT system, and integrating theory with practice, this paper classifies BRT stop setting types and analyses their features, and proposes the choosing method for selecting the appropriate type. It provides the reference for urban construction of BRT stop. However, except choosing a reasonable setting type, thorough analysis all aspects of a BRT stop is also necessary. So we should set up a comprehensive evaluation system, for finding deficiencies of the BRT stop, and putting forward some suggestions for improving. Then it helps to offer better environment for passengers and improve the whole BRT system service level.The paper simply analyses the status of BRT stop, introduces the differences between BRT stop and traditional bus stop, and detailedly analyses each functional area.Through collecting some foreign and domestic construction situation of BRT stop, and according the original road with or without isolation strip, and combining with the lane number of the road, we classify BRT stop setting types and analyses their features. After analyzing the influence factors, we put forward the choosing method and the flow chart of selection the setting type. According to the steps of selection, take Gangding stop in guangzhou as an example to choose the setting type.After introducing the difinition and ideological contents of the humanized concept, and the setting principles of evaluation index system, we put forward the comprehensive evaluation index system of BRT stop based on the humanized concept, and explain each index.Contrasting the advantages and disadvantages of various classic evaluation method features and advantages and disadvantages, we put forward the fuzzy evaluation method for evaluating the BRT stop. Take Gangding stop in Guangzhou as an example for comprehensive evaluation analysis.Finally, this paper summarizes the research achievements, and puts forward the further study of the problem.
