The Design And Implement Of Lithium Battery Management System Base On Technologies Of RFID

As the new green energy, lithium batteries are used more and more widely, and increasingly used in electric bicycles and electric cars replace lead-acid batteries. Lithium batteries has four major advantages compared to Lead-acid batteries:(1)Lithium batteries does not contain the harmful heavy metals like cadmium, lead, mercury;(2)Lithium batteries’s Weight is about a quarter of Lead-acid batteries;(3)The working life of lithium batteries is twice as long as lead-acid batteries;(4)Lithium batteries can work normally at low temperature, but the capacity of lead-acid batteries would drop dramatically at low temperature. However, as lithium batteries usage increases, The management problems, including lithium battery security protection, fault diagnosis, life cycle management and anti-theft, is becoming more and more serious.This paper design and implement a kind of lithium battery management system, called RFBMS. The RFBMS can measure the parameters of lithium battery and insure the safe running of the lithium battery. Besides the on-site protection, the system can transport battery information to the platform of management, to achieve application of remote monitoring and management of Lithium battery. The RFBMS consists of three parts: perception layer, network layer and application layer. The system implement lithium battery protect and data acquisition in perception layer, including design and implement the RFID lithium battery protection board and RFID reader. The system implement data transmission in network layer and remote monitoring and management in application layer.The RFBMS is science and technology cooperation project of Soochow University and GEOBY Electric Vehicle Co.,Ltd. And now, the system is running in GEOBY Electric Vehicle Co.,Ltd.
