Research On Conservation And Development Of Historical And Cultural District In Jinan-Take Furong Street

The conservation of historic and cultural district is a significant part of the urban historical and cultural heritage protecting system in our country. This project started late, and hasn’t received a high degree of social recognition. Due to lack of social concern and theoretical guidance, a great majority of historic and cultural district in china haven’t been protected perfectly, which gives rise to great loss of historic culture in those cities. Not only does the historic and cultural district preserve traditional style and features of a city, but also a historic and cultural district with continuous sound progress can provide new energy and economic growth point for a city’s future development. Based on the above factors, it should be admitted that as an important part of long term development strategy of a city, the conservation of historic and cultural district, in modern city construction, needs correct treatment as soon as possible.The structure of this article is based on the basic theories development of historic and cultural district conservation. It comes to the general category and basic rule of conservation by summarizing and analyzing practical experience at home and abroad. To perfect related theories and methods, this article chooses an example-Furong Street and Qushuiting Street Historic and Cultural District which possesses high representativeness and comprehensive in Jinan City. Based on the development of Jinan City, this article explores the development process of Furong Street and Qushuiting Street Historic and Cultural District, and summarizes its current situation, characteristics and problems from several levels, including city’s pattern, historical background and humane feature. The last part synthesizing multi-discipline knowledge and analyzing causes of those problems from multi-angle, aims to present governing principles for macro-control and targeted micro processing methods, hoping to provide a valuable reference for the conservation and development of historic and cultural district in Jinan City even in the whole country.
