| With the development of highway construction in our country, some highways thatconstructed earlier should be maintained or reconstructed in succession. As a result, a mass ofold asphalt mixture was produced. It would occupy vast expanses of land and cause polluting.Asphalt recycling technology is an effective way to solve this problem.According to analysis the asphalt and regeneration mechanism, this paper discusses thefusion of reclaimed asphalt, because in the beginning of the study, we only discussed for thechoice of the markers. By reference to engineering practice, this paper study the designmethod of Marshall systematically by the steps of the appraisal of reclaimed asphaltpavement (RAP), analysis the mineral grading, mix design of recycled asphalt mixture,define the optimum asphalt content, check the mix design. Then we used the Marshall todesign high ratio RAP of hot central plant asphalt recycled mixture. The test results showedthat the mix design was qualified.In order to certify that hot asphalt recycled mixture could be applied in highway, a seriesof tests were carried out with the grades of AC-13, AC-20and AC-25in different proportionof RAP. We do the rutting test, immersion Marshall Test, freeze-thaw split test, fatigue test,bending test, which the study indicated that the performance of the high temperature stabilitywould be improved while the proportion of RAP increasing. But in the high proportion ofRAP, the water stability and fatigue performance would be reduced while the proportion ofRAP increasing, low temperature stability change is little while proportion of RAPincreasing.This paper also analyzed the construction technique of high ratio RAP of hot asphaltrecycled mixture. It also tracked detection and evaluation of the high ratio RAP of hot centralplant recycling asphalt pavement. The tests showed the various performance indicators weregood. |
