Intelligent has become an inevitable trend in the development of power grid. Developing thesmart grid has reached a world-wide consensus. Smart grid has become the focus of research.Power flow, business flow and information flow, in smart grid, will realize a highly integratedfusion. The main characteristics of smart grid are information, automation and interaction.And the information is the first feature. The realization of the information needs to haveunified communications standard in the whole power grid. As the seamless communicationinternational standardof the current power system automation field, IEC61850has become ade facto standard and will get more and more widely in smart grid. Digitized substation is thefoundation to realize smart grid. According to the IEC61850standard, there are thestation-bus communication and the process-bus communication in the digitized substation.The information through the process-bus is very important, and must be reliability andreal-time. So the bus communication is the key to realize the information of smart grid.P&M&C intelligent terminal, as the research object, will establish abstract models accordingto the IEC61850standardand be configured on SCL. Then its process-bus communicationwill be realized.First of all, according to the IEC61850standard modeling methods and steps, a generalmodeling method of IEDs is put forward. And based on the function analysis of P&M&Cintelligent terminal, IED’s abstract models is get.And then in accordance with the IEC61850standard abstract models of P&M&C intelligentterminal, it is described with Substation Configuration Description Language and the ICD fileis get. At the same time, a platform of process-bus communicationis build and a CID file ofP&M&C intelligent terminal is get.Further more, according to the principle of process-bus communication, the process-buscommunication of P&M&C intelligent terminal is realized in use of the MMSLite sourcecodesoftware developer’s kit. Then the communication is test by the network packet software wireshark.Lastly according to the principle of station-bus communication, the station-buscommunication of P&M&C intelligent terminal is realized in use of the MMSLite sourcecode software developer’s kit. Then the communication is test.
