Research On The Housing Spatial Behavior Of Hefei’ Migrant Workers

Lots of migrant workers joined the development of Hefei city, their housingproblem have deeply affected the development of the city, thus it is necessaryresearch the housing regulation of the migrant workers, which will strongly affectthe housing spatial adjustment of the city. This dissertation applies some theoriesof behavioral geography analyzed the housing spatial behavior of Hefei’ migrantworkers, confirmed the basic framework and main content of the research on thespatial behavior of the migrant workers. The dissertation studied the housingspatial behavior of Hefei’ migrant workers from3aspects: the housingexperience behavior, the housing choice behavior and the closed relatedcommuting behavior of Hefei’ migrant workers.The dissertation contains seven chapters. The first chapter is the prefacewhich contains the background, the content and technical route, the introductionof the case place； The second chapter introduced the research progress home andabroad, and significance of the dissertation; The third chapter analyzes thehousing situation of the migrants, the research showed that the totally housingsituation of the migrant is bad, their house are always too narrow, simple and crude,crowded, the basic housing situation can not satisfy migrants’ housing needs; Chapters4-6analyzed the housing experience behavior, the housing choice behavior andthe closed related commuting behavior of Hefei’ migrant workers respectively.The research showed that the overall satisfaction of their housing situation wasnot high, they placed more attention on the hardware of their house than theenvironment and service facilities around their housing districts; the factors thatthe migrant workers decided their residence district can be divided into4dimension: the environment and service facilities, the life convenience, housingquality and working palace dependency. Migrant workers valued more onresidential district’ transport convenience, housing quality and security situation.The migrants preferred to live in the center of the city other than the outer; Both the commuting distances and commuting time of the migrant workers are short.They preferred half physical type private transportation tools. They relied on theworking place heavily when choosing their residential location. The seventhchapter included the conclusions and some advices. The dissertation made theconclusion that the housing situation of the migrant workers of Hefei is bad, theirhousing experience is low, the needs of housing situation are still for the low level tosatisfy the basic physiology needs, their involvement level to the city is low. Thereforeit is necessary to improve the housing situation of the migrant workers in the following5aspects: l)improve the basic housing quality of the migrant workers;2) consummatethe public service devices in the housing district of the migrant workers;3) reasonablydistirbute the guaranteeing houses;4) adjust the housing rent market；5) expand thehousing source market.
