Demonstrate And Training Platform For Distribution Automation

In recent years, with Smart Grid fast development, the traditional DistributionGrid technology already can’t satisfy the demand of users. Smart Distribution Grid hasbecome the development direction of current Distribution Grid, with its importantfeature of interaction and self-heal. Smart Distribution Grid adopts the new gridtopology structure and use large quantities of smart power electronic devices. Thus itcan improve power quality effectively, enhance the power supply reliability, saveenergy, and improve the economy of distribution grid construction and operation.Distribution Grid automation training demo platform builds a Distribution GridSystem under normal operation condition including fault state and fault handling.Distribution Grid related trained employees can further understand the functionmeaning of Distribution Grid automation, and can operate all kinds of equipment andmaster station software of Distribution Grid automation System skillful to handlepractical problems met in Distribution Grid operation.This paper analyzed present situation and need of the domestic and foreigncurrent distribution grid automation training demo system, introduced newtechnology of the present distribution grid, designed and developed a set ofdistribution grid automation training demo platform. In my designed scheme, a lot ofdistribution terminal equipment and switching device used in real project have beenused, which build a hand-in-handed distribution ring grid power supply system.Onthis hardware platform, development design of master station and function design ofdistribution terminal, development of primary and secondary equipment platform ofdistribution grid training demo platform, development of terminal software andsupervisory control configuration software of distributed FA system have completed.And a SCADA platform has been built, which is equipped with perfectcommunication system. This distribution grid training demo platform can completereal-time monitoring of distribution grid, analysis operation state of distribution grid.And it also can carry on demonstration training, such as distribution equipmentoperation, recovery processing, communication demo and terminal testing demo. Thiscan be widely used in teaching practice of electrical higher professional institutionsand training of operating staff engaged in protection and operation of distributionautomation system.
