Visualization of PMI in CAD system,that meets national standard, is one of the importparts in enterprise informatization. The ordinary development mode of“one-system-one-develop” is not only nonstandard,but also causes a loss to resource andlabour in3D informatization stage.In this paper, PMI`s visualization and Reuse techniques are discussed. PMI`sreuseable data structure,that is nothing to do with CAD system, is designed based on theanalysis of PMI`s data structure. A reusable PMI visualization framework is proposed,according to the function requirement analysis of PMI visualization. The framework isconsists of reusable Components, realization in heterogeneous CAD system andvisualization process design.For the special demand of3D PMI visualization,3D PMI`s permanent storage andredisplay technology,that the3D PMI separate from3D solid model, is established basedon the analysis of3D modeling and Lightweight Model. Combined with international andnational related products digital define standards, PMI annotation plan define principle andPMI display management are established.Reuseable roughness define component are developed with VC++,based on thedetailed analysis of the roughness of data structure. The practical application with reuseableroughness define component,are realized on heterogeneous CAD system, according to thereusable PMI visualization framework.2D/3D roughness visualization process are analysed.Roughness visualization2D instance is realized on AutoCD and TianyuCAD.Roughnessvisualization3D instance is realized on InteVUE.
