Digital design is a key link in the field of mechanical design and manufacturing, the development of the whole machinery manufacturing industry has the vital significance. In order to shorten the production cycle of the products, reduce production costs of the products, and improve quality, modern aerospace and other machinery manufacturing introduced the digital MBD(Model Based Definition) technology gradually, 3D MBD digital design technology development is a qualitative leap. With the development of the MBD technology, 3D CAD annotation model is more and more attention, especially the application of 3D CAD system based on MBD directly led to the industrial ago enter a new field. Aiming at many problems that exists currently based on 3DMBD part model annotations information, this paper study the 3D CAD model information annotations and management methods of the components and achieve a comprehensive digital definition of component products. It mainly includes the following aspects:(1) This paper researched the methods about annotations of all the information with the function of PMI(Product Manufacturing Information)in a 3D CAD model based on MBD, Mainly including the implementation method of its size, surface structure, tolerance, technical requirements and so on for the annotation, and proposed the implementation method of 2D drawings inheriting the corresponding view of 3D PMI.(2) Methods based on UG/PMI function annotation, according to the latest national standard design the new method of surface roughness, geometric tolerance annotation. The paper solved the deficiency of the PMI bringing aid, and maked the annotation for 3D component model more quickly and more efficient for users.(3) This paper put forward a method of 3D CAD model information annotation by information "group" and "view" two means for effective organization and management. This paper solved the 3D part information annotation appear interface confusion due to various non-geometric information, information expression is not clear, resulting difficult to identify information in machining process and other issues.
