Research And Development Of APQP Information Management System For Automobile Parts Production

As the basis of automobile industry, automobile parts manufacture becomes moreand more important in the development of automobile industry. APQP is short forAdvanced Product Quality Planning. As an important part of QS-9000, APQP ismainly used for quality insurance of products’ design, development and production.Through investigation of an automobile parts manufacture company, we found theexecution of APQP existed a series of problems, such as low efficiency, confuseddocument management, inconvenience of information inquiry and so on. Theseproblems seriously affected automobile parts’ on time delivery and quality assurance.In order to improve work efficiency and strengthen management standard inautomobile parts manufacture enterprises, development of an APQP informationmanagement system for automobile parts’ production and management is researched.Information integration between APQP and computer aided process planning systemis also completed. On the basis of advanced survey and analysis of APQP technologycriterion, the system’s demand modeling and database design are completed by usingUML modeling tools and Microsoft SQL Server2000. Then a detailed classificationof system’s structure and function is carried out. As a new web developmentframework written by ruby programming language, Ruby On Rails is widely used.The system is developed by Ruby On Rails and VBA. Installation and deployment ofthe system are carried out. Finally, the system is applied successfully in the company.Key technologies used in the process of system development are discussed andanalyzed, including system security and authority management, system resourcefuldesign, agile development and consisting improvement, information integrationbetween APQP and CAPP system and so on. Related practice and summary areintroduced too. It has been found that the system standardizes enterprise’s APQPmanagement process. Paperless office of APQP is achieved. APQP executionefficiency is increased. The environment of enterprise’s information construction isimproved.
