The construction site layout of the reservoir project is a complex system project,it involves environment, hydrology, geology and the construction itself and therelationship among those factors is very complex. So how to analyze threedimensional visual methods of the construction site layout of the reservoir project in ascientific and intuitive way is a key problem which is challenging and unsolved. Theflood discharge and energy dissipation problem in the reservoir project is veryimportant considering the technology, safety and economic benefits. In the world,because of many reservoir project accidents which resulted from the problem ofequipment and improper management, the safety of the flood discharge is one of theimportant technical problems in reservoir project. Yutan reservoir project is a second(II) level project and its mountain terrain environment is complex and changeable.Once a flood overflowing happens, it will destroy the people’s life and property,infrastructure and social safety seriously so that the emergency rescue after thedisaster will become a difficult problem. In order to reduce the significant loss byunexpected disasters and guarantee the safety of the reservoir project, it has animportant engineering significance to show the research result of the evacuation afterdam-break in a three dimensional way. This paper aims to study the three dimensionvisualization simulation of the construction site layout in Yutan reservoir project andthe risk analysis of the evacuation after dam-break. The results are as follows:(1)This article achieves3D visual simulation and analysis in the constructionsite layout of Yutan reservoir project. In the light of the characteristics of Yutanreservoir project such as wide field and large amount of information, the paper usesthe modeling method of digital terrain and entity model, utilizes the visual modelingway on water fluctuation in reservoir、texture mapping technology and visual roamingtechnology, completes3D visual simulation and analysis in the construction sitelayout of Yutan reservoir project.(2)This article completes the whole process simulation of release flood inspillway with particle modeling system. Based on the discharge capacity of the exportof spillway and interrelated hydraulics calculation on the water line of the chute, thepaper discusses the process of particle modeling on the chute of the spillway、stilling basin and tail chute considering engineering characteristics, verifies the effectivenessand feasibility of this research methods after repeated simulation model experiments.Then through comparing the result of simulation model test with the hydraulicscalculation and numerical simulation result of the release process of spillway, itfurther proves that the accuracy of3D visual simulation. The simulation visualresearch on flood discharge of spillway in the whole process simulates the shape ofwater flow in the course of the flood discharge though spillway, and analyzes theextent of influence and seriousness of the consequences of discharge intuitively.(3)This article achieves the visual analysis of emergency evacuation afterdam-break. Based on the two-dimensional numerical simulation and analysis of theflood after dam-break, the paper gets Critical hydraulic information on the arrival timeof flood and the distribution of the maximum submerge depth, uses analysis theoryabout the flood refuge combined with points and lines、the algorithm of Dijkstra andthe computational model of road right to formulate reasonable path for evacuationduring the flood by analyzing affected area of the reservoir downstream. The researchachieves intuitive display of the flood submerged area and evacuation path using3Dvisual technology so that this method can guides victims to choose the optimalevacuation path according to the refuge plan and arrive in the resettlement efficientlyand safely in the time of calamity.
