Nuozadu hydropower station is the biggest hydropower station among the eightstep hydropower stations to be built on mid-down stream of Lancangjiang River.Every component of the engineering is interfered with the construction site layout.Construction of every component is dynamically changing, thus it's difficult to grasplarge amount of dynamic information. To intuitively and accurately describe thecomplex and dynamic spatial relationship among all sides interfered in constructionsite layout design of Nuozadu hydropower station, 3D dynamic visual simulation andoptimization for construction site layout of Nuozadu hydropower station is studied. The main contents and achievements of this thesis are summarily listed as following: Firstly, dynamic data structure is organized with the platform of GIS.Methodology and implementation of dynamic simulation data for construction sitelayout is studied by utilizing the special structure for spatial data organization andmanagement function for spatial information. Secondly, systematical analyzing is studied for construction site layout ofNuozadu hydropower station. Using the theory of decomposition-coordination andcontrolling for large system, the construction site layout system of Nuozaduengineering with 6 subsystems is built. Then the simulation of the whole constructionsite layout system is expressed with simulation and decomposition-coupling of allsubsystems. Flow of the 3D dynamic visual simulation data of Nuozadu constructionsite layout is designed, and then the 3D dynamic visual simulation demonstration andvisual inquiry of dynamic simulation data are realized. Thirdly, taking advantage of the spatial analyzing and dealing function of GIS,based on the constraints of spatial position, visual analyzing methodology of siteselecting for concrete mixer plant GIS-based is studied. Thus a new way andmethodology is provided for traditional construction site layout. Visual analyzing ofall spatial factors that influence the site selecting for concrete mixer plant is studied, and the optimum result is acquired after overlay computing. This result supplies ascientific support for construction site selecting. Fourthly, practical developing way for 3D dynamic visual simulation andoptimization system of Nuozadu hydropower station is presented, and the systematicstructure is designed. System function is realized. The successful development of thesystem provides a forceful analysis tool for design and decision-making ofconstruction site layout of Nuozadu hydropower station.
