Cannon gun tube is the core component of artillery. The emission security, firingaccuracy and the service life of cannon are all affected the quality parameters about thesurface quality, inner diameter, inner twist of rifling and straightness of the gun tube inactual combat. At present, testing instrument is backward, inspection parameters aresingle and testing institutions are complex in our country present stage. The testingequipment of integrated parameters used to cannon gun tube is not mature products. Tothis, the study of tube bore detection is of great significance.Combining with the subject that is“diameter automatic measurement of cannon guntube” and for the measurment of different pipe diameter is a difficult question, thispaper designs a diameter automatic measurement system of artillery gun tube. Thesystem is mainly composed by six parts: servo control system, transmission parts, theleft and the right end position, diameter measurement part, coiling device and computercontrol system. The measuring principle is simple, the operation is simple and highprecision measurement. The subject uses the software of Solidworks to design and drawa complete three dimensional simulation diagram of the device, and then through thefinite element analysis software ANSYS12.0, carry out the testing of mechanicalanalysis and simulation to the designed mechanical structure. Two points are provedbecause of the self-weight of transmission device. On the one hand, light poles and theball screw which own the support and guidance to the role are down by the force, whichproduce the bending deformation, affecting the measurement accuracy; On the otherhand, the center axis of the body and body head tube are tilted because of theself-weight, affecting the measurement results. With the existing problems of deviceabove and in order to reduce the self-weight of walking device, this paper makesimprovement further, and puts forward three aspects about the measures:(1) Thematerial of transmission device is used LY12instead of Q235-A;(2) The circuit boardsare uninstalled, and the transmission set is got rid of parts appropriately in the cases ofunaffected measurements. Put the signal wire and the control wire into the hollow partas much as possibly in the measurement process;(3) In order to overall beauty and totalweight, the portable and bobbin winder of original design are also uninstalled. In themeasurement method, in order to reduce the error, each of circular cross section ismeasured twice, getting the two sets of data for the horizontal and vertical direction. The experimental results show that the measuring device fulfill the designrequirements. The method is mature further. The measuring device not only can be usedfor the diameter automatic measurement of artillery gun tube, but also can be widelyused in the other measurements of different pipe diameter and a variety of deep holeparts. And it also has a broad development prospects and the important practicalsignificance. The end of the article, the device of automatic measuring is taken the erroranalysis.
