Research On The Application Of Regenerate Fog Seal

In the recent years， because of the varieties of natural factors and heavy traffic loads，asphalt pavement appears much premature damage， such as shedding asphalt agingmicro-cracks and loosing and so on. The premature damage of the asphalt pavement not onlyhas bad impact to the road performance， but also shortens the life of the asphalt pavement.How to use effectively the limited funds and prolong the service life of asphalt pavement，pavement materials to conduct in-depth on the preventive maintenance of asphalt study andexploration is necessary.Regenerate fog seal is a new preventive maintenance technology， in this paper， on thebasis of the analysis of the types of asphalt pavement early disease and causes， proposing theuse of timing and applicable conditions based on the combination of existing preventiveconservation measures and the characteristics of the reclaiming agent’s own characteristic. Inaddition， analyses of the mechanism of action of regenerate fog seal. According to thelaboratory tests on the effect of reclaiming agent on the regeneration property of asphalt， theperformance of aging asphalt is improving after adding reclaiming agent. Study on lowtemperature performance and high temperature performance of asphalt mixture bysimulating the construction technology， the results showed that the low temperatureperformance of asphalt mixtures has been greatly improved and the high temperatureperformance is slightly reduced.According to the experience of tested road in Xi’an， the result of three indicators testand four-component analysis of reclaimed asphalt shows that the regeneratefog seal technology can improve the performance and composition ratio of the asphalt ofpavement surface， which suggested that permeability of regenerate fog seal is very good.According to research in construction technology， quality inspection， service performanceand economic benefit of the regenerate fog seal， the regenerate fog seal technology canimprove the road performance of asphalt pavement and economic benefits is significant.Research shows that， the regenerate fog seal technology is a very effective preventivemaintenance in asphalt pavement. It has good social and economic benefits， and regeneratefog seal is very significant advance asphalt pavement maintenance in present and futurepromotion in future.
