As the rapid development of the automotive industry and automotive technologyadvances, the requirements for automotive professionals is also facing a new situation—high-tech maintenance models, modern maintenance equipments, networked maintenanceinformation and social service object. Vehicle maintenance as a newly rising industry, hasattracted wide attention. Especially with the increase of private cars and retaining automobile,automobile consumption will soon enter into the car maintenance, car repacking and cardecoration field. In order to fit in with the development and variety of the automobileindustry, our country needs to train a large number of automobile practitioners. NowadaysAuto vocational schools and vehicle maintenance vocational training institutions generallyrequire certain field, equipments, raw materials and energy consumption and need to invest alot of funds. So the high cost of teaching and training has seriously hampered China’sautomotive class vocational education and training institutions to carry out. With thecontinuous development and improvement of computer simulation technology, thedevelopment of simulation teaching software for vocational education and training andauxiliary teaching hardware is not only able to significantly reduce training appraisal costs,but also can be better achieved good teaching results.This article is based on the study of domestic and international virtual simulationtechnology development to analyze the common fault of automotive engine electroniccontrol system and testing and maintenance methods. The key research through the VR,3Dmax, Java and.Net modern computer technology to achieve person and machineinteraction, and finally through the test to complete the construction of automotive electroniccontrol engine simulation training system. The software is developed for vocational trainingin vocational colleges and vocational teaching skills training system, the use of computersand network equipment so that all the participants will be able to do exercises aboutelectronically controlled engine fault diagnosis. We can operate the vehicle through mouse.Such as opening the door, start the vehicle, and you can also select the repair tool to demount,install and test. All the operation is completed in virtual scene and all designed according tothe enterprise operation. All parts, testing equipment and maintenance tools through3Dmaxmodeling program designed to achieve the dynamic data change and a variety of detectionmethods. The software has a strong multimedia interactivity able to fully play the main roleof the students. The system simulation training is familiar with the engine electronic control system diagnosis process and go deeper into the engine electronic control systemmalfunction. The system provides students of fault diagnosis ideas using learning materialsand repair information and develops students’ self-learning ability. Students can complete alloperations of the contents of the engine electronic control system fault diagnosis through themouse. Through practice, the students can master the diagnostic process, testing andmaintenance methods. It lays the theoretical foundation for practical operation and improvesthe teaching effect of the practice course.
