This subject comes from the cooperation project between Test TechnologyResearch Institute of Chongqing University of Technology and Chongqing TsingshanTransmission Company, grand No.2010QK33.AMT actuator is a Key Problems for the AMT, whose performance will directlyaffect the whole performance of the AMT. The level of transmission efficiency of theAMT actuator is an important reference index to reflecting its performance。However, the Study on AMT actuator transmission efficiency is very rare at homeand abroad, and we also lack one test platform to study it. To develop an AMTactuator transmission efficiency test bench and study AMT actuator transmissionefficiency by the test will definitely bring important guiding significance and practicalvalue to Chinese AMT technology development.This article is based on the CV5automated mechanical transmission (AMT)actuator producing by Chongqing Tsingshan Transmission Company. The authorintroduced the body composition, classification and work principle about the AMTactuator. The author has also completed the test-bed scheme design and introduced theselection basis about the sensors、couplings and the magnetic powder brake,finally,got the selection result. Then the author designed the mechanical systems ofAMT actuator transmission efficiency test bed and got2D engineering drawings tocomplete fixtures processing. Labwindows/CVI is a software development platformwhich the test-bed testing system was based on. With the consummation of testingsystem, the test-bed was researched and developed successfully. This test-bed hasbeen granted to be national patent.Refer to the national transmission efficiency test standards and CV5AMTactuator working situation, the author developed an AMT actuator transmissionefficiency test method and completed transmission efficiency test under thesemethods. Analyzing the results in detail, the author has gave some recommendationsto improve the transmission efficiency and studied the relationship about AMTactuator transmission efficiency and shift quality simply. The experts in TsingshanTransmission Company have highly recognized the test results, analyzing conclusionsand recommendations to improve transmission efficiency which will truly to be animportant reference for new product development.
