The Analysis Of Chenzhou " Yang Village" Settlement’s Pattern Research And Protection Strategy

Traditional settlement is a kind of rural settlement environment with historicalcharacteristics and an important part of architectural heritage, which is formed in along period of selection and accumulation. It’s another large area of the environmenttype in addition to the environment of urban settlement. By analyzing the generation,construction and development of Southern Hunan’s traditional village environment,this paper showed the characteristics of the settlement environment in SouthernHunan. On the one hand,we can provide reference for the construction of today’sliving environment, on the other hand, to provide technical support for protection andupdating of the village environmental. After all,the studies of Southern Hunan’straditional settlement in such area is still very few now.As a typical case, this paper has researched "Yang Village" in Guiyang and madeliving environment a starting point, which was divided into four aspects: naturalenvironment, social-cultural environment, living physical environment and civicenvironment. The natural environment is agriculture-based foundation for thedevelopment of farming community, also the material basis of construction anddevelopment of traditional villages. Social-cultural basis has a very wide range ofcontent, which have injected soul for the physical environment of traditional villages,also have direct impact on the construction of the physical environment. It coverseconomic production mode, social systems, religious beliefs, cultural traditions andother aspects. Living environment is every visible matter we can see in traditionalvillage environment, it includes space system of production,life,physical activity,etc..The civic life is human behavior of living and production. Overall, the constructionand development of living environment in southern Hunan’ s traditional settlementimpacted by various factors.First, it is impacted by traditional chinese classicaleconomic system and typical confucian culture which is the common denominator ofall traditional settlements;Second, it is deeply impacted by the local naturalenvironment and human environment. Therefore, the traditional settlementsthroughout china are various. So we researched the characteristics of Southern Hunan’s traditional settlement environment to provide reference and experience for nowadaysconstruction of living environment. With the development of the times, globalization swept through the world,traditional village environment and local culture are gradually dying away at the sametime, protect the traditional village culture and maintain its local flavor has became anissues of concern to the communit. Thence there is such a significance to sdudy theculture of traditional village for the protection and development of the traditionalculture.By The reason why there are a plenty of traditional ancient villages inSouthern Hunan is that the economic development lags behind the other areas ofChina,and also for its unique location. Those traditional ancient villages have abeautiful natural environment and distinctive architectural form, moreover uniquetraditional culture characteristics and profound cultural content. But in recent years,apart of them is disappearring for the lack of proper protective measures andtheoretical guidances.Through studing " Yang Village" and summarizing itsconstruction experience,there must has important scientific significance and practicalvalue for the reasonable protection and inheritance of our excellent historical andcultural heritage.
