In recent years, the rapid development of the publishing industry put forward more and more demand on the logistics of books, books logistics modernization has become the main way to reduce the total cost of enterprise and industry-wide circulation. Phoenix Xinhua establishes a modern logistics distribution system. But in the process of the layout planning for its logistics center and the logistics transportation and distribution, there are some flaws and shortcomings which will increase logistics costs and reduce the operational efficiency.The topic is based on the current development of the Phoenix Xinhua. The main topics are as follows:First analyze the Phoenix Xinhua’s development background and business model and give specific description of the four main departments. At last propose the existing problems: logistics center layout problem and Vehicle Routing Problems;Use system layout(SLP) method to analyze the logistics connections and the non-logistics connections between various functional areas. Then obtain the integrated connections by which infer the relative position of various functional areas. At last, drawn the optimized floor plan combined with the acreage of the various functional areas.With respect to the distribution vehicle route and scheduling problem, analyze the status of the Phoenix Xinhua distribution route, establish a vehicle routing optimization model, use C.W saving algorithm which give a satisfactory solution. Finally, compare the existing routes with the optimized routes, confirm the optimized route is more reasonable and effective.
