Compressor, as a very important equipment of gas carrying is used more and more widely in chemical lines. Energy consumption and degree of automation needs to be improved to meet industrial production requirements. As a consequence, the compressor ITCC system is introduced. The system is considered the system performance, energy consumption, compression efficiency and other factors, has been widely used in methanol, ethylene, methane, hydrogen and other chemical production areas of the compressor, research on compressor control has a certain value.Based on the background of the Qinghai methanol production compressors control system, this paper detailedly introduced the operational principle of reciprocating compressor and centrifugl compressor. According to the requirement of the control system, this thesis designs a suit of control system based on GMR to meet SIL3by analyzing compressors’ interlock logic and compressor performance curve. Interlock logic is designed compressor to achieve the safe operation and emergency stop. PID algorithm is given to achieve anti-surge control based on alterable limited flow method.Traditional PID algorithm depends on engineering experience and it’s difficult to achieve optimal control results. The paper introduces fuzzy control algorithm instead of traditional algorithm. This method adjust the valve opening so that the compressors run in the security zone by fuzzy rules and value of the input. The algorithm responses fast, doesn’t rely on accurate mathematical model, robustness and adaptability advantages.The experiment result indicates that GMR system based on fuzzy control algorithm have the characteristics of high reliability, good stability, control accurately, strong upgrade, friendly man-machine interface, good openness and so on. The system satisfied the requirement of methanol production. It is a typical example that the field bus control system applied in the process control domain and have certain value in the chemical production automatic control domain.
