Model And Practice Of The MV Distribution Network Planning In Qinhuangdao City

Medium voltage (MV) distribution network is one of the most important parts of network planning. As the fast growth of city economy and energy demand, MV distribution network planning can influence every aspect of people’s life. Considering the vulnerable, outdated equipment and low level of automation problems in present distribution network, the "12th five-year plan" has paid enough attention on the distribution network planning. As the connection of the main grid and low-voltage network, MV distribution network planning is especially important to the coordination of the whole networks, inappropriate planning may cause serious problems for substation locating and wire route, hence increase the distribution network investment. In this paper, through studying the present method and theory of MV distribution network planning, combining the grid situation of Qinhuangdao city, a new MV network planning model was proposed to help coordinate the main grid and low-voltage network. An area in the city was selected to verify the effectiveness of the model with both coordination and economy are considered. At last, the tendency of MV network planning was analyzed and concluded.
