For that conventional public traffic can not meet the continuous growth of needs, many domestic metropolitans start to construct rail transit. The exertion of rail transit’s excellent independent right-of-way, large capacity, safety, and comfort are basted on large passenger flow. For tremendous construction cost of rail transit, any cities can not construct a large number of rail transit in short period of time. The rail transit can only attract pedestrian, so in order to take full advantage of tail transit, it must be combined with other transportation means so that the shortcoming, poor accessibility, can be remedied. The best choice of conventional traffic has two characters:flexible lines and favorable accessibility. Many elements must be considered on the engagement of conventional traffic and rail transit, such as the design of station transfer, the line layout, departure frequency. The theory mainly focuses on the on the method of feeder bus routes optimization for urban rail transit.Firstly, the theory make a contrast between conventional traffic and rail transit., then analyze the function and the effect in public traffic, and give a brief introduction to engagement principle.Secondly, the thesis will give a brief introduction to the adjustment of the existing public traffic in chapter3. The thesis will first qualitatively adjust the existing public traffic line to guarantee the line distribution of conventional public line and the rail traffic reasonable. Based on the analysis of the rail station connection scope, the mathematical model can be designed so that the conventional public traffic can be partly adjusted to provide better and dense passenger flow for rail transit.The existing conventional traffic may probably not meet the passenger flow of rail transit. Then the thesis will give an explanation to the "first-last-station selection principle" of the new connection lines in chapter4. Based on the least average cost (operation and time cost)of the passengers, the function model will be built to illustrate the methods of the distribution of the new connection public transportation.To guarantee the the public traffic and the rail transit connected more effectively,the internet optimization model will be built in chapter5to take a full consideration into the passenger cost, operator benefit and the efficiency of the connection system. Then the adjusted and new connection public traffic system can be further optimized. The model can be solved by the genetic algorithm.
